Sustainable Studies

The prime focus of our work is to create sustainable architecture and convey this awareness to the larger community. In addition to adding green elements to our designs, we have been hired by Municipal agencies to research and identify site specific guidelines for sustainable development and create regulations for their future implementation.
Most of our staff is either LEED certified or in the process of becoming certified.

Poppleton Green Design Project

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources awarded a grant for a study to further the incorporation of “green design” into their new housing initiatives around the Poppleton Area. The study results required both site based and architectural based strategies for development and identified minimum benchmarks to be achieved. Our office worked with Steven Winter Associates in developing the report and we went on to evelop site based solutions and drawings for each area within the larger development.
